Marisa Wilairat

Marisa found her way into the world of vines and wines – and its regulatory maze – from the field of corporate litigation and a landscape of libraries. Marisa graduated summa cum laude from Haverford College with a BA in History, a minor in Anthropology and an African Studies concentration, and she spent a year studying abroad at Oxford. After earning her degree, Marisa returned home to Washington, DC, where she made her first foray into the hospitality industry, working at a boutique cookie shop. Marisa then continued her academic journey, earning her JD from the University of Michigan Law School. She served on the Michigan Law Review and graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif. Marisa commenced her career as an attorney at the law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell, LLP in New York City. During her years at the firm, she further honed her analytical, research, and writing skills, working on complex commercial cases and regulatory investigations involving Wall Street banks. Quite the cosmopolitan, Marisa developed her taste for and interest in wine during an internship in South Africa, a summer volunteering on an organic farm in Hawaii, a bike trip through Napa and Sonoma, wine classes in New York City, and a vacation to Champagne. Marisa is excited to traverse the puzzle of the alcoholic beverage industry with our customers and our team.
